     BET which stands for black entertainment television has been around since the 80’s and nearly molded my childhood. Owned and operated by Viacom and has been targeted towards African Americans, Hip-Hop and Gospel.  Www.bet.com is a website that is flooded with news, videos, blogs, and fashion articles targeted towards African Americans, music, fashion, and hip hop.  With influential articles, interviews, and blogs the young black professional is sure to stay trendy if they are a frequent visitor to the site.  BET.com offers career information, internships, and much, much more. 

     World news is also available on this website.  Most of the articles posted target the African American audience. When visiting the site today there were numerous articles the death of Rodney King who will always be remembered in the African American community.  Most articles and videos relate to the target audience weather the subject is education, fashion, music, or sports. 

     BET.com is very influencing in the African American community there are sections for Sports, Opinion, Global, Celebs, News, Careers, and Politics.  The website covers many facets of information and its visitors are sure to stay informed on all that is new and trendy.  The website is interactive and members and visitors are able to sign up for a free membership and receive emails and newsletters from the company.  Tickets to shows, and contact information for BET.com is readily available for members and fans all year round.  BET has a way of keeping the fans focus and giving hope to fans that their voice could be heard.  BET.com and 106 & Park allow fans to be engaged during the show and even go so far as showing the tweets of fans on the television show.  Health advice is also available on BET.com and is available to help sustain the community and keep them aware of how to take care of themselves and prevent issues from arising.
